A traditional salami from the Lombardy region whose origins date back to the Renaissance, Milano is one of Italy's most renowned salami. The paste is made only from carefully selected pork cuts that are ground to a consistency resembling cooked rice then seasoned with salt, coarsely-ground black pepper, fine-milled white pepper, wine and fresh garlic.
When sliced it's pale red, with a strong, well-balanced fragrance and a sweet, delicate flavour.
Best served at room temperature in machine-sliced slivers. An excellent companion to young red wines
